Burling and Tuke on course for 49er gold

New Zealand sailors Peter Burling and Blair Tuke have retained their lead entering the final day of the European 49er championships in Denmark hong kong company register.

A fourth and a first on the penultimate day saw the Kiwi Olympic silver medallists extend their lead over British rivals Dylan Fletcher and Alain Sign from one to seven points.

New Zealanders Marcus Hansen and Josh Porebski, who led earlier in the regatta were ninth and 12th on Sunday to drop one place to eighth overall.

That is good enough to earn an automatic place in the nine-boat final race on Sunday in which double points are on offer Domestic Helper.

In the women's 49erFX fleet, Kiwis Alex Maloney and Molly Meech remain third overall after placing second and 12th.

That leaves them eight points adrift of second-placed Brazilians Martine Soffiatti Grael and Kahena Kunze and 19 behind Danish leaders Ida Marie Baad Nielsen and Marie Thusgaard Olsen.

Meanwhile, New Zealand boardsailor Natalia Kosinska is second but on equal points with the leader going into the final day of the RS:X women's European Championships at Brest, France.

She relinquished an eight-point lead going into the fifth day on Saturday to Charline Picon of France, who won both races.

Kosinska, who was sixth and 13th in light winds, is six points clear of third-placed Israel rival Mayaan Davidovich cheap bookcase.

Five sailors are within striking distance of the medals going into the three-race final day.
